Based in the commune of Saint-Emilion since 1744, the château has survived the ages thanks to the know-how and unity of the Musset family who have owned it for six generations.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe grapes, 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc, are grown in sandy, clay and gravel soils, then machine-harvested and sorted by hand. Vinification takes place in small temperature-controlled concrete vats over a period of four weeks at temperatures of 26 to 28°C.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFollowing this, Château de Saint-Pey is aged in a combination of new barrels (30%), old barrels (50%) and vats (20%) for a period of 12 to 14 months.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis Grand Cru offers an expressive nose, mixing red fruit scents. After a frank and silky attack, the palate displays excellent balance and a full body.
