It utilises 100% Furmint grapes, Hungary's traditional flagship variety.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFirst Growth since 1732 and part of the World Heritage Site of Tokaj declared in 2002, the Disznókő vineyards have always been sought-after due to their supreme quality. With its know-how and experience in Aszu winemaking, Disznókő today occupies a position at the forefront of the renaissance of the truly great Tokaji wines.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAcclaimed as one of the most favourable sites for Aszu in Tokaj, the Disznókő estate is a single tract of land of 104 hectares, planted with noble grape varieties of the Tokaj Wine Region, mainly Furmint. Producers hand-pick grapes in full or part-clusters. Some are very ripe, some covered with noble rot, some of Aszu quality. However, all are selected at the very end of the harvest in late October\/early November.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe grapes enjoyed a short period of skin contact for additional texture. The wine then aged for 12 months in oak barrels after fermentation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eNotes of peach and other fresh fruits, citruses, together with floral and almond aromas. Rich, but perfectly balanced; quite broad and creamy with a lovely long finish.
