For complicated reasons (planning permission, that kind of thing) he returned to Hamburg and then founded the Altona Distillery. Here, he produces Gin Sul by hand with his team using botanicals from almost 3,000 km away in south-west Portugal.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eJuniper berries, coriander, fresh lemons from Portugal, rosemary, peppers, lavender, cinnamon and gum rockrose (Cistus Ladanifer) are just some of the ingredients which capture the ‘saudade’, or 'soulful longing', in Gin Sul.
