Opened in October 2023, the Port of Leith Distillery in Edinburgh is the UK's first vertical distillery, designed by founders Ian Stirling and Paddy Fletcher to bring whisky production back to the historic Leith district. The nine-story building near the Royal Yacht Britannia features a unique gravity-fed production process, with milling at the top and distillation below, offering a modern visitor experience with views of the Firth of Forth.
