Ginepraio Amphora Navy Strength Gin is a powerful Italian gin with a strikingly delicate botanical flavour profile.
Ginepraio is the first Navy Strength gin distilled in Italy. The term “navy strength” refers to how much alcohol a spirit contains – typically a higher amount than usual. This is also the first gin in the world to be matured in amphora.
Characterised by the use of native botanicals, including rosemary, sage, and Tuscan juniper, this gin is distilled in small batches to ensure the highest quality and aromatic integrity.
The 6 months it spends in cocciopesto amphora - mortars used since the times of Ancient Rome - enhances the gin's aromatic profile. The balance between its botanicals results in a complex, elegant gin.

Producer's Tasting Notes
Aromas of juniper, wildflowers, and green grass.
On the palate, it is spicy (coriander) and balsamic (juniper and helichrysum), with hints of angelica and a zesty finish. It displays a beautiful balance despite its high alcohol content.
It has a long aftertaste due to its ageing process in amphora.
