Masseria Setteporte Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese is a beautiful Italian red wine grown on the slopes of the Etna volcano. It's bursting with berry and herb notes.

This winery lies on the southwestern side of the Etna volcano, in the territory of Biancavilla. The viticulture of this area dates back to ancient times, when the Greeks occupying Sicily in around 1800 BC introduced new grape varieties and viticultural techniques to the Italians.

This wine is a blend of native varietals: 95% Nerello Mascalese and 5% Nerello Cappuccio.

Maceration took place in concrete tanks with short pumping over. The wine then matured in wooden barrels for 12 months (20% new, 80% used). Then, it ages in bottle for eight to ten months to develop additional complex flavours of chocolate and spice.

Enjoy Masseria Setteporte Etna Rosso Nerello Mascalese with rich red meat dishes like a bolognese sauce, or Salsiccia al Ceppo, a classic Etna delicacy.

Producer's Tasting Notes

It boasts a vibrant ruby red hue and a delightful fruity aroma infused with notes of red fruits and wild berries. Complementing these is a pronounced minerality as well as herbaceous notes. Its dry finish is finely tuned with elegance and persistence. A well-balanced, persistent wine with velvety tannins.
