Nals Margreid Pinot Bianco 'Berg' is a beautifully fresh and expressive Italian white wine from the beautiful northern region of the country.
Based in Italy's picturesque Adige Valley, this winemaker is a collective operation. Here, 138 different winegrowers bring top quality grapes to the winery from across 160 acres of land, creating wines showcasing the diversity of the region's terroir.
The grapes for this Pinot Bianco grow in Nals Margreid's highest east-facing vineyards, where the mild summers and cool autumns allow for a long growing season and a late harvest.
The grapes are harvested by hand. Afterwards, the clarified must is fermented for around three weeks in stainless steel tanks. Before bottling, the young wine ages on the lees for a further five months. It's drinking beautifully now, but will also improve over the next three to five years.
