Son Vich de Superna Expresión is a beautifully mature red wine from the Spanish island of Mallorca.
The Son Vich de Superna Winery is a family winery which uses traditional production methods.
It was established in 2006 with a passion to make wines that are not only high quality, but also different from what was until then being made on the island, always fully respecting the natural environment.
It is located in Majorca, right in the heart of the Serra Tramuntana, one of four wine production areas in the world classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site.
From the best vineyards of the region, this wine is a true reflection of its vintage. Organic strains selected one by one to ensure it expresses its varietal balance and the native soil of an area covering two hectares. Patiently made; the grapes are destemmed and barely crushed, fermented at low temperatures for a minimum of 30 days in stainless steel vats. They remain on their lees without additives for five months, and then gently filtered and bottled.
Enjoy Son Vich de Superna Expresión alongside white and red meats, foie gras, cheeses, and pastas. It also shines alongside dark chocolate.
Producer's Tasting Notes
Deep cherry coloured. On the nose it is a balance of fruits and then minerals, exploding all its youth and complexity explodes.
Pleasing, voluminous and elegant on the attack, with texture denoting its variety and longevity.
Long finish with balanced acidity.
